The former Olympic runner has proven to everyone that no matter what, you can be yourself! This week, the world off and on social media has been blowing up over Bruce Jenner's transformation into Caitlyn Jenner.
Jenner's fame originated when he became one of the United States greatest Olympians. ESPN has proudly announced that on July 15th, 2015, Caitlyn will be getting the Arthur Ashe award. This award is only given once a year to athletes who go above and beyond their professional career.
In a recent press release, Jenner says, "In the past few months, the overwhelming outpouring of support from all over the world for my journey has been incredible. However, being honored with this award, which is named after one of my heroes, is truly special. For the first time this July, I will be able to stand as my true self in front of my peers."
I truly feel that Caitlyn deserves this award more than anyone, to put yourself out there and show the whole world who you really are must have been such a difficult thing to do. It's beautiful to see how much love and support she's received since the debut of Vanity Fair's cover last Monday. In another clip of Jenner's photoshoot, she explains openly on how as soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, she'll finally feel free.
Caitlyn's family has shown so much support for Jenner's transformation. In past interviews, Caitlyn seems to be more confident to be herself and generally all around happier. Still today, all over social media, people are talking about how proud and how happy they are for Jenner.
Lady Gaga said, "Thank you for being a part of all of our lives and using your platform to change people's minds". Other celebrities such as Anna Kendrick, Alyssa Milano, Susan Sarandon and even Ellen DeGeneres explained how courageous she is and expressed what a beautiful role model she is to people every where.
In the Kardashian "break the internet" spirit, Caitlyn made a new twitter that broke records for followers in a period of time. Her very first tweet says " I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me."
There's something very brave about what Bruce did. Acknowledging and respecting who you really are and realizing that not doing this would be a huge mistake in your life is unbelievable. You are courageous Caitlyn, much congrats.
Caitlyn is a role model for people in the transgender community. Her journey could possibly lead to the lower suicide and attempted suicide rates all over the world! The transgender community has been fighting for their rights for years and thanks to Caitlyn, the world is finally listening, making the fight for equality that much closer.Sometypeofbeauty.com 6/5/2015 Angelina 7., How to Organize Your Closet Organization
